FIG launches in Johannesburg

OFyt and Ignitive today announce the formation of a 50/50 joint venture Communications Consultancy named F.I.G. ' or 'Friends of Ignitive'. The joint venture is headed by Muzi Kuzwayo ' founder of the marketing and advertising consultancy, Ignitive, and Gary Leih, CEO of OFyt. Greg Burke and Jono Shubitz will ' in addition to their OFyt roles ' act as Joint Creative Directors. The new company will be 63% empowered ' making it probably South Africa's most empowered agency.

Commenting on the move, Gary Leih said, 'we have long admired Muzi and have been in discussions with him and his wonderful business partner, Phumi Mashigo, for some time now. Muzi Kuzwayo says, 'we are excited to have found partners that have the same vision of building brands in Africa with a global reach." OFyt counts amongst its clients KIA Motors SA, Henry Tayler & Ries (a division of Distell), ADT, The Crazy Store, Motul Motor Oils, Lancewood Cheeses and Dairy, Computers for Kids, Much Asphalt, amongst others. Ignitive has been engaged in project work since inception and amongst others have done projects for ESKOM, AFCON, SekelaXabiso, Total South Africa, AVI and Momentum. The new agency will be headquartered at OFyt's Johannesburg premises in Woodmead Country Club Estate.
